“The high cost of camping is keeping a lot of boys away from camp, and I’m prepared to change that,” said a primary supporter of Chabad of Southern Ontario.
With his assistance, Gan Israel Toronto is pleased to offer a discounted fee of $800 for each boy. The cost for the Bar Mitzvah Division is $1,000. This reduced rate is available to everyone from January 1 – February 15, 2015.
Camp Gan Israel, Toronto while still in its infancy has been accepted and recognized by the Ontario Camping Association (OCA) and the One Happy Camper initiative of the Toronto Jewish Federation. This stamp of approval provides generous assistance to first time Ontario campers.
As a result of the capacity enrollment last year for the girls season, another double bunk house is currently under construction and will be ready for the 2015 summer season. So too, a large tract of land has been cleared for additional field sports.
Most prominent is the baseball field built to conform with official specifications. Indeed, there are many new and exciting initiatives that are being planned to make sure that the incredible camp spirit stays with the campers all year long.
