This past Thursday, Rabbi Menachem Rabinovitch, a Chabad Shliach in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod, visited the Kotel in Jerusalem.
As any good Lubavitcher Chossid, he stopped at the local Tefillin booth to help offer visitors to do the Mitzvah.
As he positioned himself, a 60 year-old man walked by.
Rabinovitch reached out and showed him the Tefillin.
The man replied that he never put on Tefillin but was willing to try.
Only later did the Shliach learn from the man that although they have never met, they live in the same city. The two resolved to remain in touch upon their return.
KARKAFTA!
BTW the yungerman at the tefillin booth is also from Nizhny Novgorod (which might be why the shliach was standing there)
Not what companies like Nextel or Verizon offers 🙂
Cool stuff indeed.
The Rebbes vision! No jew should be left behind!!
