In the past few years, Crown Heights has seen an overflow of visitors from Israel during the week of Chanukah.
In an effort to accommodate both the residents of Crown Heights and the guests as best as possible for the nightly Menorah lighting at the main Shul of 770 Eastern Parkway, the vaad hamesader of the Shul Committee and the vaad hamesader of the Ezras Nashim have set up a designated area for each.
To help facilitate a beautiful Chanuka experience for all, signs in both Hebrew and English were posted in the shul, as follows:
The first Shul, known as the Mizrach Shul, in the Eastern Parkway women’s Shul is designated for guests.
The second and third Shuls are designated for Crown Heights residents.
The Kingston Shul is open to all.
Wishing a freilachen Chanuka to all.
The Vaad Hamesader requests that both visitors and residents respect this system in order that an inspiring and enjoyable holiday is had by all.
