The Mega #Younite to welcome Moshiach women’s Hakhel was a grand success. Hosted by Bais Rivkah BRanches and Jewish Women Influencers, many community schools and organizations came together to make this evening happen.
“What an incredible evening of Hakhel! The warm ambiance, the food, the panelists, and of course the incredible concert with Yaffush was amazing! Dancing in the front like a teenager was a great feeling! May this be the beautiful beginning for our Geula year!”
“I just wanted to thank you so much for the amazing program on Monday night. It was inspiring and delivered in a practical and easy-to-understand way. The singing was electric. We all had a true Hakhel as chasidim.”
“The only way to describe this Hakhel event is that I forgot about my phone for an entire hour and a half…”
This is part of the non-stop feedback received after the #Younite to welcome Moshiach event, a Hakhel for the Crown Heights community. This hugely successful event was a gift to the women of our community.
The event, spearheaded by Bais Rivkah’s BRanches and Zohar Sasson of Jewish Women Influencers, began with our Nasi’s words about Hakhel. Mrs. Leah Jacobson, principal of Bais Rivkah, then painted the picture of the original Hakhel and the atmosphere such a gathering evokes.
A lively discussion, moderated by Mrs. Sara Blau, interviewed four lamplighters in our community.
Mrs. Sarah Korn shared how she first energizes herself first in order to give to others.
Mrs. Rivky Levy encouraged the audience to find their talent and just start doing good.
Mrs. Chassi Rivkin shared how she reached out to others to help her make an impact.
Mrs. Sheli Man spoke about public displays of Yiddishkeit that impact passersby.
Each of the panelists encouraged the audience to adopt what works into their lives.
Singing sensation Yaffush Barkahan made the evening come to life. With a repertoire of niggunim, fast songs and slow favorites, she brought the crowd of 1,000 women to their feet.
The evening concluded with the raffle winners.
Mazal Tov to Naomie Blotner on winning the Rebbe dime and a Tzfasman’s gift certificate.
Mazal Tov to Rivkah Leah Shenitzky for winning a priceless dollar from the Rebbe, which was distributed at Chof Cheshvan.
“We give thanks to Hashem and the Rebbe and our Crown Heights community. You have made Hakhel possible. You brought all ages of our Crown Heights community together by showing up. May this hasten the final Hakhel of the Geulah,” organizers said.
