Shouldn’t the minyan only be composed from people who are young (under 65) and healthy and not those who are old and or sick with the machla or any other sicknesses

Did you read every detail before commenting?

65?

Where does the 65 age come from? Certainly not medical sources. People with Covid-19 in their 50’s have a mortality rate 3x higher than those in their 40s.

65 and below

The statement said that even if you are below 65 you should not attend unless you were already sick and have antibodies

When standing on your own porch, there is no reason to wear a mask. And it clearly said you can only join from your own porch…

No mention of masks

is it because the rabbis dont think its necessary or they forgot to mention it, either way it would be clearer if this was mentioned for clarity sake.

Thank you for keeping the community informed!

Just a suggestion that some people may read headlines and look at pictures and not read all the details before interpreting the announcement.

Perhaps the background photo should be one that is consistent with the guidelines listed in the article itself…

Again, thank you!

Concerned about this presumption – as I understand it no guarantee that if you have had covid-19 you can’t get it again or a different strain…

I have been attending a porch minyan and keeping proper distancing. I am not from the block but anyone on the street has been fully distanced. I also have positive antibodies. Why am I being excluded? I bought a house on the wrong block?

Also, Shavuos is coming. Are no arrangements being made for aseres hadibros? You will likely have a Williamsburg scene on your hands. Staggered times would work.

discrimination

Who cares if someone stands on the street and joins the minyan? What if someone wants to daven and doesn’t have the luxury of a porch!
This is discrimination against the poor and the single people who live in basements . Or those who live a bit out of the area .
