Gruit, the kosher eatery and beer garden in Crown Heights which has been closed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, has reopened for take-out and delivery on Thursday.
On March 15, the owners notified, “In our own effort to help stem the tide, we have made the difficult decision to close until further notice.”
They said their first priority is the wellbeing of patrons and staff. “We are all in this together and will emerge better and stronger than before.”
This week, they announced, “And we’re back! We are open for business and ready to serve you!”
The restaurant known for offering Jewish American comfort food, cocktails and rotating local brews, is now featuring a new menu creating by chef Isaac Bernstein and their mixologist Raz.
Food will be prepared under strict health guidelines. The appetizers, fish, chicken and beef entries, as well as dessert and drinks are available for curbside pick up or delivery.
