Out of towners
June 26, 2020 6:25 pm

Could they local shuls and camps please enforce the Rabbonim’s psak by not allowing out of towners to participate? It’s really serious and now is not the time to experiment. For sure, we cannot allow anyone from an at risk state who needs to quarantine for 14 days according to the law to come to our shuls and send their children to our day camps. It could be there are different strands and mutations of covid and we cannot risk a second wave here in the schnua. We have been through enough. To all out of towners. The Rabbonim have… Read more »

Why not just WEAR MASKS?
June 26, 2020 7:04 pm

What is the big problem with just wearing masks, like in all normal places in this country?

Like, what’s the downside?

Better safe than sorry!

Why gabmle with people’s lives until we actually KNOW the answer?!?!?!

Just wear a mask, and you may be saving lives. And if it turns out in the future that this was not a necessary percaution, then the worst that it could be is that you were a mask.

May very well help. For sure can’t hurt.

Why is this so complicated for people? Am I missing something?

Why not to wear masks

The case to not wear masks is because instead of preventing people from having a hard time breathing it in fact causes people who never had a hard time breathing to have a hard time breathing.

Not AT ALL accurate!

The main danger of COVID-19 is not having a hard time breathing.

The main danger of COVID-19 is PEOPLE DYING. Hundreds of thousands of people died so far, and the more people who wear masks, the less people have to die.

Wearing a mask does not cause breathihg problems. (Doctors wear masks for many hours a day over many, many years, and they don’t get respiratory diseases.)

What’s on the scale is our small sacrifice of convinience vs. people’s DEATH.

Masks don’t always help

Wear a mask, save a life!

Please, please, please mandate mask wearing in stores, markets, waiting for take out, 770. Impossible to keep 6 feet apart at all times, only takes one carrier to spread Covid. Even if you have no symptoms you can bring it home to your family.

Wear a mask, save a life!

Please mandate mask wearing in public. Mask should be worn in all stores, markets and shuls. Only takes one infected person to spread Covid 19. Even if you don’t have symptoms you could be a carrier, which means you can infect your family and friends. Bottom line WEAR A MASK! SAVE A LIFE!

i am not against masks when i go out i wear one but right now everyone is making that a mask is virtual signaling. every second when go out you need a mask, when you are in the shower we need a mask. outside is much harder to get a virus! i do not know science to say its impossible, but we need a mask in the stores. mask is needed only when you cant social distance, the virus cant spread more then 6 feet outside, as long as your six feet away from others you do not need a mask!… Read more »

how a vaccine would be helpful, if people get it R”L twice? I am not anti vaccine, but just wondering. Could it be that Hashem Davka wants this to be
a plague, that is beyond comprehension, to get us to do Teshuvah?
Bottom line is to be have Bitachon, be BeSimchah, keep all the rules, and that can keep you safe.

You can ask the same question by medicine, maybe hashem wants us to get sick to do Teshuvah so who are we to take medicine and “alter his plans”? The answer is, is that, no, the same hashem that wanted us to get sick, also wants us take medicine to cure the sickness. Because it could be that hashem wanted you to sick for only a certain time, or other reasons as such. The point is that Hashem does his “job”, but we always have to do our Hishtadlus to keep our body healthy to serve hashem no matter. P.s.… Read more »

There was no argument about taking

a vaccine, if it will help and is highly recommended by reliable Drs. The question was simply, if you can get it twice and you never had it, could taking it heighten the possibility of getting it. The Teshuva point had nothing to do with the vaccine.
Bottom line is we all need Simchah, Bitachon and following reliable Drs, orders. Hashem will do things in the best way possible – we need to stop being fearful.

Vaccine is unknown

This is one of the things being worked on when it comes to vaccines. There are no sure answers at this point. Only G-d knows.

770 dancing
June 27, 2020 6:40 am

I was most disturbed to see the dancing and lack of social distancing at 770. This is not Torah or Halacha. Why are people treating Halacha with such abandon? Enough have perished.

June 27, 2020 1:11 pm

I am as surprised as anyone else that far too many of our people have stopped wearing masks. The virus is not over. Phase 2 or Phase 3 are not equivalent to a cure. We owe it to each other to be more responsible and caring. We are not out of the woods.

Please look at this photo, right here on the Collive homepage. No one is wearing masks.Do you wonder why people are getting sick again? They are now fining people $500 in Miami if they are caught not wearing a mask. What is it that people don’t get here in CH. If you want to die, go ahead, but you do not have a right to infect other people. Please listen to the rabbonim and the doctors.

Mandate masks like every other place!
June 28, 2020 5:15 pm

If there’s even a small possibility that reinfection is possible due to antibody levels falling, then why can’t everyone in CH Wear masks regardless of whether they already had covid or antibodies. It’s not enough for the vulnerable to wear masks.

July 1, 2020 7:43 pm

Why are camps relying On Antibody tests done months ago when we know antibody levels are dropping and disappearing in many people? Everybody should need a covid swab too,‘even if they had a positive antibody testing at some point!
