believe that the Rebbe said it was his favorite b/c it shows that Hashem believes in his ability to have a productive day and therefore granted him the day! I think Raba Emunashecha clearly expresses this ” a lot is your belief in me”
I heard that someone once asked the Rebbe ” What is your favorite prayer?” The Rebbe simply replied ” Modeh Ani!”!!!!!
If anyone has the full detail of that or remembers where it was written It would be nice to share…
