Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlitah visited and addressed the 25 students of the Chaya Aydel Seminary on Monday morning, May 19, Iyar 19. It was the 5th visit of an Israeli Chief Rabbi to the Chaya Aydel Seminary, currently in their Bas Mitzvah (12th) year.
The first Israeli Chief Rabbi to visit and address the Chaya Aydel Seminary was Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu obm, who visited the Seminary in its inaugural year, on 19 Kislev, 5763.
Translating the one half hour talk of the Chief Rabbi, was Rabbi Yossi Lebovics, Principal of the Seminary. Photographer for this special visit was Seminary student Devorah Sherman.
The Chief Rabbi was greeted by Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, head shliach of South Broward, and dean of the Seminary, and other Shluchim of Chabad of South Broward. The Rishon L’Tzion spoke of the importance of Torah study, spoke how his late mother facilitated that his father, Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef obm, was able to spend every minute learning, and blessed the students to marry and have children Talmidei Chachomim.
The Chaya Aydel Seminary is renowned for its world class program, outstanding teachers, and dedicated Hanhalah that give individual attention to each and every student.
