As New York is experiencing the biggest snowstorm in recent history, students at the Cheder at the Ohel continued to learn via conference call.
Students from Cheder come from all over Long Island, Queens, Crown Heights and even Connecticut.
The School was unable to open today due to the tremendous amount of snow and poor driving conditions.
But the administration and teachers did not want the children miss out in their learning.
So they set up that each class was able to learn today with their teachers on the phone.
“This gave the children a sense of cohesiveness and chayos,” COLlive was told.
Even as the frigid wind blew outside, the boys were still able to experience the warmth of Torah.
This was all the idea of the greatest melamed ever, R’ Velly Karp!!!!
they couldnt give those little kids a day off?????!!!!!!!!!
Great teachers, great staff amazing involved parents.

Yasher Koach! Other yeshivas should learn from the Ohel Cheder! Especially mesivtas who did not have learning today or yesterday.
Baruch Hashem, keep up the dedication and resolve to add meaning and instill values into kinderlach. …Definitely, NOT like the goyum would do. Great dugma – it’s lessons/habits like these that help form solid adults, later, yasher koach!
