A host of top-tier educators are headed towards South Florida to meet the growing needs of the ever expanding Cheder Chabad community.
With a one hundred percent increase in student growth and a significant waitlist to boot, Cheder Chabad Florida has stepped up to meet the needs of the growing Chabad community in South Florida. Excellent Chinuch starts with excellent educators, and to that end, the Cheder has hired four new administrators and brought down six new highly qualified couples to join their growing team.
With an impressive background in education and program development, Cheder Chabad welcomes Rabbi Zash Itkin as the new Boys Principal. His positive disposition and genuine warmth have enabled him to connect and empower countless students. And now through his leadership and educational methods, he will provide Cheder teachers with skills to uplift their talmidim through compassion, warmth, and joy!
In the girls’ division, Mrs. Sara Krinsky will now fill the role of Assistant Principal. With a passion for chinuch, Mrs. Krinsky’s goals are clear; “I want my students to love Hashem, Yiddishkiet, Torah, and Mitzvos, while making it all practical and relevant in every part of their lives!”
Meanwhile in the preschool department, Mrs. Nechama Lapidus has taken on the full-time role of Preschool Director. At Cheder, even the youngest students are educated Chanoch L’Naar Al Pi Darko, as Mrs. Lapidus emphatically shares, “Chinuch is about the individual. It’s crucial to see each student as a whole person!” Mrs. Sarah Aidel Grifkin will also be on board as Assistant Director, ensuring that the needs of each young talmid are met.
With an ever-growing student body, it’s vital to keep a finger on the pulse of every classroom’s curricular achievements and progress. As Director of Curricular Development Rabbi Chezky Akerman will utilize his expertise and extensive experience providing Cheder students with focused yet wide-reaching curricular goals.
A whole new level of chayus and Chassidishe growth await as Rabbi Bentzy Deray takes on the leadership of Cheder’s Tzivos Hashem and extracurricular programing.
Additionally, new Mechanchim include Rabbi Mendel Greenwald, Rabbi Yossel Gerlitzky, Morah Shoshy Deray, Morah Fraidy Weingarten, and Morah Chaikee Ackerman.
With an understanding that Cheder’s continued growth is on the rise, Rabbi Yehuda Matusof has joined the team as School Administrator. In this capacity, Rabbi Yehuda will oversee operations and school management while propelling the warmth and success of Cheder as it enters the next stages of growth.
“An incredible school exists because of incredible staff!” declares Rabbi Aharon Matasof, dean and founder of Cheder Chabad. “We are so excited to see the continued success of our students under the care of such a dedicated and talented team!”
Cheder Chabad has become synonymous with true, authentic, and uncompromised Chinuch, taking enormous pride in their individualized approach to each student. The school is ALIVE with a passion for Yiddishkeit, learning, and a deep sense of community. For the families making the move down south, this team of dedicated and passionate educators has created a dream school that is now a thriving reality!
