In just a few days chassidim around the world will mark the 32nd anniversary of the Miracle of Light over Darkness that occurred in our generation – the Yom Tov of Hei Teves.
Chassidim will be gathering at the Ohel on the eve of Hei Teves this coming Wednesday at 8:30 PM for a major Farbrengen featuring by Rabbis Sholom Ber Levitin, Yisroel Spalter, Mendel Feller and Yosef Chaim Kantor.
Communities around the world are planning Farbrengens to celebrate this day as well as several Neshei Chabad chapters who will host special events.

Rabbis from all over the world called on families and communities to celebrate Hei Teves which the Rebbe called a yom segula and eis ratzon as a day to strengthen our Hiskashrus to our Rebbe by buying Seforim and writing letters to the Rebbe as the Rebbe requested and making Farbrengens in communities and households around the world.
Over the last few years much material has been produced which enables young and old to learn about and prepare for this special day.
For children: This special song that has been played in thousands of homes to get the children in the mode of Hei Teves as well as a book about Hei Teves.
These are in addition to the famed Hei Teves school curriculum produced by JEM in conjunction with Vaad Or V’chom that has been taught in over 80 schools over the past two years and has been redesigned this year.
For adults: Several publication of the sichos related to the mishpat as well as many articles in English – including the special Hei Teves addition of ‘A Chassidisher Derher’ – and in Hebrew are available for all to learn/read.
The webcasts of ‘From Trial to Triumph’ and ‘From Those days to These Times’ by Vaad Or V’chom serve as a “Farbrengen on the go” and can be watched with your family at home, while traveling or anywhere else.
The highly acclaimed ‘A Movement on Trial’ by JEM is a captivating documentary film which tells the story of Hei Teves including many of the sichos. Part of it can be watched here and purchased here in its entirety.
Over the course of time before, during and after the trial, the Rebbe regularly referenced the kitrug and subsequent geulah of the Alter Rebbe on Yud Tes Kislev, making it clear to all Chassidim how much was at stake regarding the definition of a Rebbe and his sacred and loving relationship to Chassidim.
This message, of course, resonates quite strongly for the young generation today that seeks to strengthen its connection to the leader of our generation, the Rebbe.
Let us use the last few days remaining to Hei Teves to prepare ourselves and our families for this special day and celebrate it properly!
