You may have noticed that Charlie Buttons, one of the iconic and beloved characters in the Crown Heights neighborhood, was absent from a few recent simchas.
COLlive was told that Charlie is currently in the Methodist Hospital in Park Slope. He is recovering from a 3-hour heart operation that he underwent this week to remove blockage of blood vessels into the heart.
A person familiar with him said the operation was successful. He asked that the public daven for Tzadik HaLevi Ben Masha Rochel.
He is said Charlie is accepting visitors.
One of the best things in CH was Charlie at our simchas. Waiting for the next so he can make lchaim with this bubbie. Speedy and complete recovery!
I Went to see him twice in this hospitalization.I think he is now in regular room so maybe you can bring kids.
