This Wednesday, Tes Tamuz, marks the first Yartzeit of Chana (Raskin) Wolvovsky, who was tragically taken from us in the prime of her life.
Last Sunday, Chana’s life was eternalized as a Torah was dedicated in her memory, by the Chabad Jewish Center of Rancho S. Fe, California.
In a show of Jewish pride, many local residents gathered to welcome their new Torah. Guests included R’ Arik Raskin, Rabbi Shmuley Wolvovsky and members of Anash and Shluchim from New York and California.
Rabbi Levi and Devorah Raskin organized the event which was the first of its kind in Rancho S. Fe. The crowd was addressed by Rabbi Yonah Fradkin, the regional director of Chabad of S. Diego county.
The Sofer Rabbi Moshe Klein from Hasofer inspired the crowd, and Rabbi Mendel Simons uplifted the crowd with his live music.
