Condolences

I heard only yesterday, over a year later, of Haim’s passing and I am heartbroken. What a kind and generous soul. Rony and I are so very sad. May you find consolation in your memories of him and in the special light that he radiated on all you came near him. To Celia, Neely and Yoni. From Rony and Judy Yacov.

A great Man

B”h “Hamokom” yenachem refers also to the place meaning the ultimate place where we are all expecting to come any moment and that obviously is the Bais Hamikdosh. This is the only possible Nechama for the loss of this gentle soul. I’m one of the many people who were privileged to enjoy the exceptional Hachnosas Orchim during my Shabbaton visits in LA. Z. we are shocked and saddened of the news.
I personally had the zchus to know Reb Chaim when I visited CA and was hosted by him and – for long healthy years – by his wife. A very eidel person, a chassidisher Yid in his manners, a rare genuine personality etc etc.

To have known Chaim is to know how everyone will be when Moshiach is revealed in the world! There is surely a great void without him in the world! Chaim always had a sincere interest in our entire family. May Celia and the
children be comforted by Hashem.

I know it’s corny to say that HaShem takes the good ones – in this case it’s certainly true. He was a non-stop yid. He always looked to grow and improve in his family, community, and personal life. More recently, he started a sunday morning minyan. The Shul naturally had several minyanim already – but this one was dedicated to people who wanted to daven very slowly. During the weekday many don’t have that luxury, Chaim figured he’ll make it available on Sunday. He would teach some chasidus before davening, daven really slowly, hire someone to give a shiur after… Read more »

Reb Chayim was the gem of our Shul (Bais Bezalel).

Reb Chaim personified what it means to be a true Chosid. He was an Oived HaShem, and a Dugma Chayah to all that he came in contact with.

His Ahavas Yisroel and true concern for others is legendary.

May his dear wife Celia and his beautiful children and family be comforted among the other mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.
