Now that’s branding!
Structures annually set up by Chabad in 2 popular tourists attractions in the United States and Europe were included in Gulliver’s Gate, a $40 million miniature model world representing 50 nations.
The exhibit packed with iconic landmarks, monuments and world wonders is on display at Times Square of New York City. CNET reports that it includes 1,000 trains, 10,000 cars and 100,000 tiny people.
Gulliver’s Gate is the brainchild of Eiran Gazit, a business consultant that blends his expertise in tourist attractions with a passion for model making, the tech website reported.
Back in 2002, Gazit opened an attraction called Mini Isreal, a 14-acre display outside Jerusalem. But the main inspiration for creating the hyper-detailed model world of Gulliver’s comes from Germany’s Miniatur Wunderland — a similar tourist exhibition in Hamburg with more than 1 million visitors a year.
“Gulliver’s Gate is both tiny and fascinating and overwhelming all at the same time,” said Jason Hackett, the attraction’s chief marketing officer. “A big theme for us is this idea of reveal and how scale can help you understand the world better.”
And part of that world is Chabad.
In the display of New York City, a tiny replica of the World’s Largest Chanukah Menorah is seen. The original one which stands by Central Park on Fifth Avenue and 59th Street was designed by Yaacov Agam.
The miniature Menora does justice to the original gold-colored one which is a 36-foot high, 4,000-pound steel structure inspired by the Rambam’s model of the Menorah that stood in the Beis Hamikdash.
In the exhibit of Stockholm, Sweden, a second Chabad Menorah is clearly visible as well showing how Jewish life continues in Europe with the help of the Shluchim.

And like #2, I probably would never have heard of it if not for your posting! We couldn’t find the NYC Menorah when we visited in early August, but we did see the European one. And–even more impressive–the amazing details of Yerushalayim!
That is Rabbi Berel Lazar in a video in “Russia”
the other menorah is a replica of the menoroh from from chabad of berlin (shliach is Rabbi Yudi Teichtel) wich stands right in front of the brandenburg and is beautifull (and it has a lit up magen david in middle). it is around the same size as the one in mahattan
nope. but there are several menorahs there and on the Brooklyn bridge there is a chossid holding a tefillin bag!
I probably wouldn’t hear of it otherwise, and I love miniatures!
what about 770? is that there too?
