There is a debate between a few select opponents and the Chabad of the Shoreline (in Guilford, CT) about a synagogue at 181 Goose Lane in Guilford.
I find it unforgivable that because of a few self-righteous individuals, this house of worship continues to be an issue.
Recently, the Chabad of the Shoreline sponsored a Jewish festival on the Guilford Green.
I have attended this event for several years, not because of my faith but because of the vast community participation the opponents fail or refuse to recognize or welcome.
During this event, one would not only enjoy the crafts, jewelry, books and paintings, but also the enjoyment seen on the faces of so many people.
The opponents of the Shoreline Chabad are segregating the people of Guilford, Madison, North Branford, Branford and other neighboring communities.
They are exhibiting selfish acts and are poorly representing the majority of their neighbors.
The Chabad of the Shoreline would welcome anyone and everyone to any event at this deserving and needed organization.
The opponents are making a big deal about the quality of life… there is a hospital next door, the lady who is spearheaded the attack is a doctor in private practice with an office in her home, across the street is a R &D facility. Does this sound like a place for a farm or residences? They got through the zoning process. You alwas stood up for what is right, and never passed judgement on anyone. You were nice to one and all and didnt pick and choose who was more deserving of your time! In that merit may everything work out for you and more brochos and nachas to you fromj yours!
