For years, shluchim have been hosting public seders, and there’s been a need for a more attractive and manageable alternative to the 96-page black and white Haggadah, and the new Lang Art Haggadah was a big hit last year.
Chasidic artist Yehuda Lang from Toronto and Chabad shliach and musician Shmuel Marcus from California teamed up to create Kehos’s new one-of-a-kind Haggadah.
Titled “The Stroy of Your Freedom,” last year’s original slim 32-page art-filled Haggadah has now been updated with new commentary and artwork making it a 48-pager with the theme of “your personal freedom” throughout each page.
The new art haggadah has one thing in mind: to help its readers leave exile. As the Talmud says: “We must all feel like we have gone out of Egypt.” The Alter Rebbe takes it one step further and adds the words “Every day.” So clearly, Passover celebrates a moment in history and empowers us to achieve personal spiritual freedom today.
The Rebbe spoke and wrote extensively on the great spiritual power and potential in the Passover rituals that fill volumes and volumes. The new Haggadah seeks to share short adaptations of the Rebbe’s ideas on how Passover relates to our day-to-day struggles and ultimate purpose.
