CGI United is a new camp established during the Covid pandemic when many children were left without summer plans as camps were unable to open that summer. Realizing the great need for a healthy summer experience for Lubavitch girls, an idea was born and within three short weeks, there was a camp.
It’s two years later and campers and staff are still talking about it.
“Although Lubavitch overnight camps are back and better than ever, so is the overflowing number of girls for which the healthy summer camp experience is a necessity. That’s why, two years later, CGI United is here for good, this year, with the purchase of our very own grounds,” directors said.
Initially set to start a week later than most Lubavitch girls’ camps, as staff applications opened, it became clear that the incongruity of dates would be a challenge. Potential staff members and parents alike reached out, sharing how the mismatching dates would make it harder to arrange summer plans. With some shifting and rearranging, CGI United is happy to report that dates have been changed to accommodate those who requested.
