CGI Poconos Concludes Biggest and Best Summer Yet

The 13th summer season at CGI Poconos was an unforgettable experience, bursting with Jewish pride, fun, and unity. This season was the most successful and exciting, with over 130 girls from across the United States and 6 countries worldwide. The amazing staff, creative activities, and memorable trips and events made this summer special.

Each day of camp was packed with a variety of activities. Campers enjoyed swimming, boating, sports, art, and dance, and this year, new and exciting programs were added, including archery. The campers looked forward to trips to Dorney Park, bowling, Slurpee’s, and the grand trip to NYC. In addition to the regular camp activities, the campers were thrilled by the exciting CGI Poconos theme days, which brought new adventures to each day with fun and captivating themed activities.

The first themed day was the 4th of July. After a fun parade, the campers enjoyed a grand BBQ dinner and a spectacular fireworks show, starting the summer with excitement. On Israel Day, the camp featured a special activity where they built the city of Yerushalayim with 100,000 pieces of LEGO, followed by a tour. Jewchella was a vibrant carnival experience that ended with an electric dance party by DJ Shruch and many more exciting activities.

The excitement didn’t stop there. CGI Poconos hosted the first annual CKids Gan Israel Intercamp, welcoming over 150 CKids Gan Israel day campers from the Tri-State area. Together, they enjoyed 24 hours of overnight camp activities, a BBQ, a campfire, and a fantastic concert by Jewish music star Bracha Jaffe.

For the B-Me division, the camp celebrated its annual grand Bat Mitzvah for the 24 girls turning Bat Mitzvah. The night was filled with inspiring words, a festive dinner, and an epic dance party led by #SaraSquad.

The highlight of the summer was the grand trip to New York City, where the campers visited Crown Heights and the Ohel. The teens enjoyed an extended overnight program in Crown Heights, featuring a beautiful tour of the Rebbe’s room and the women’s Mikvah. The campers also visited 770, the JCM, Hasofer, the Mivtzoim Center, and Muchnik Art Studios. During the grand scavenger hunt on Kingston Ave, the campers enjoyed special discounts generously provided by Sweet Expressions and Hamafitz, as well as a free snack sponsored by Chocolatte Espresso Bar! The trip culminated with a meaningful visit to the Rebbe’s Ohel, where the campers thanked the Rebbe for an incredible summer experience.
