New Igros Kodesh

What was the Rebbe's reaction to the Yom Kippur war and what was his tip for a peaceful marriage - the new 29th volume of Igros Kodesh, the Lubavitcher Rebbe's letters, has arrived to Jewish bookstores today. It was compiled by Rabbi Berel Levin of the Aguch library and published by Kehot.

Kotlarsky Tops Forward 50

Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, the most influential fixture in the Lubavitch Shlichus system, had been included today in the Forward 50 powerful Jews in America. "One of Chabad’s most visible public faces," they wrote about him. The Chabad slot was previously occupied by Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky and Rabbi Shlomo Cunin. Aaron Rubashkin was included this year too. $25K Grant to Chabad Conejo

Satmar, Rabbi Landa Meet

An interesting meeting took place this morning in Bnei Brak where the city's official Rabbi Moshe Landa hosted one of the two Satmar Rebbes. They met in a shul on Yechezkel Street and exchanged words of Torah. The Satmar Rebbe is visiting Israel from New York. Photos

Shliach Escorts German Gov.

Chabad Rabbi Shneor Trebnik was invited to join a German delegation to Israel, headed by Günther Oettinger, Prime Minister of the Baden-Württemberg state. Trebnik assisted in organizing the trip and assured that the group wouldn't fly on Shabbos so as not to offend religious Jews. After a visit to Yad Vashem, the governor received a yarmulka from the Shliach. Photos

Paris: Schneerson Grave Found

Recently, the grave site of Mrs. Mussia Schneerson, the granddaughter of the Rebbe Maharash, was discovered in Paris. The Kever was discovered by Rabbi Moshe Nissan Azimov while he was visiting one of the old cemeteries in Paris. More

Bochurim-Shluchim Arrive

This week, many bochurim that finished a year of learning in Crown Heights, known as 'Kevutza,' arrived in Israel. They will serve as shluchim in Yeshivos throughout Israel. While they work with the younger bochurim and finish their semicha, they will receive a monthly stipend from the yeshiva. >>

Diplomat Credited in South Korea

Israeli Ambassador Yigal B. Caspi requested that Chabad-Lubavitch establish a permanent presence in South Korea - and the new center was born.
