After reading comment #3, I sensed that the author was desperately in need of love and attention. This is so, because when people are loved, they generally tend to focus on the overwhelmingly obvious positive aspects of a video and will not find (and certainly not focus upon) the negative aspects. I’m convinced that the author of comment #3 has received enough love from my comment to focus on the positive. I don’t think that a follow-up phone call is necessary.
This video is done very nicely. Light but a deep message…….thanks for making it! Keep em coming!
You might want to brush up on your Chabad history. About 90% of what Shluchim do, and very often directly from the Rebbe, is copying a goyish thing for a good purpose. Tzivos Hashem covers, Dick Tracy … about every “Pizza in the Hut” Chabad succos event for 25 years. It’s so shocking sometimes the types of comments you read on a Lubavitch website, by Lubavitchers. Just last week we learned a sicha from the Rebbe that everything that is in this world has ONE purpose, to use for Kedusha, if someone else uses it for Tumeh that isn’t the… Read more »
Meir once again thank you for making such an amazing video!!! Whole family cant stop watching this! Waiting for the next one!!!
Just two guys having fun–happens to be they made a video of it
if this was just his idea then you might have a point,
but seeing as he is (for those who don’t know kol hakovod)
copying a tv show this is in and of itself already not the direction and path he should be portraying as a lubavitcher chosid and hence a reflection of the rebbe to the rest of the world. and as #6 pointed out “If Benny does it , it must be okay!”, and i think we can agree that tv shows are definitely not what we want our children to aspire to!
No arguing just the beard is heilegeh it not a jokey conversation and joke that’s all calm down everyone
Everyone has there own hashkofah
I just think it’s a very special and heilegeh topic and shouldn’t be joked around Hatzlacha ti all and no arguing u want to say ur opinion go ahead bit relax on others ty
Maybe get #3’s phone number and take this offline??
Say l’chaim and read #7 carefully.
I’m a big fan of BENNY and MEIR and I think the video was very entertaining.
Thanks guys
Keep lighting the world with happinss!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😩😩😩
Meir, thanks for bringing laughter to everyone’s faces!!!!
I must say, this video shows me that someone who is as aidel and mentchlich, and chassidish as Benny, can be “who he is” in any situation, and makes a huge kiddush hashem in the people he connects with both in the video, and to those who may watch it. We are Chabad. This is who we are. We don’t close ourselves off from the world. We go into the villages, and we spread the image of Chassidus and it was no one less than the Rebbe himself who encouraged exactly this. I celebrate this video, and praise Benny for… Read more »
I always thought (and still do) that Benny portrayed himself to b chassidisher….. wow!!! And yes when I saw how in the video, he took his hat and jacket, and kept the chassidish garb, even though his friend had the backwards baseball cap and colored shirt. . On the good side, his friend had tzitzis and a BEARD!!! I think what they were trying to show in the video, is the BEARD, to keep the BEARD!!!!!!!!!!! But I still think it was kind of weird!!!!- But maybe this is what they were trying to do, to inspire others even for… Read more »
Hilarious!!!!!! Benny is not being less eidel! On the contrary to be happy is the biggest mitzvah of all!!! Benny couldn’t be happier!!!!!!!!! That’s what I think!!!!
You are a wonderful person!
Hashem would not have been able to achieve his goals without creating you!
Sending you a HUGE hug.
I love you!
Have an AWESOME Shabbos.
Take a chill pill, you’re so negative.
Please gei kaken oifen yam. How does doing a promotion with someone who has a “flipped baseball cap” take away from his aidelkeit? You complain about “lingo”, and then proceed to say “if it ain’t broke” – quoting the very words of Reb Itche der Masmid, no doubt. I’m sorry that Benny’s reality doesn’t match your errant fantasy. The truth is, this isn’t a new face at all; you just never knew Benny. Granted, I don’t have a personal relationship with him, but I’ve known him since we shared a bunk 20 years ago in Parksville. The Friedman awesomeness (Manis… Read more »
Couldn’t agree with #3 more.
Benny, please remain sensitive to the kedusha and tahara and eidelkeit we’ve all been attracted to. Why sully it with veltish narishkeiten? Our children are watching and “If Benny does it , it must be okay!” Every chosid has an achrayus to make a kiddush Hashem but a chosid whose gone public on stage has an even greater achrayus, especially to the younger generation.
Benny is a fine “Younger man” just having a little “clean” fun. This video does not make him any less “aidle”.
People have to stop looking for things to criticize and look at things with the “right” eye. “Crying wolf” too often does not serve anybody well.
I agree with you. Thank you for writing that in a very kind way. Good shabbos.
I wonder if this video is an image which actually appeals to Benny Friedman fans. As for myself (definitely a Benny Friedman fan), I’m sorry to say it does not. It is nice to have the current Star of Chassidic musical entertainment personify a certain איידלקייט ,something that is actually synonymous with the Friedman family and shall always be the memory of Benny’s exceptional grandfather הרה”ח ר’ יעקב משה ז”ל who was truly an אהוב לכל and an image of איידלקייט. I hope that Benny will not take-up an interest to mimic (thus lauding) the ways of contemporary media (TV… Read more »
i enjoyed that!
Ok Bubby, now that it made its way to COL I know you’ll see it. Enjoy!
