The campers and staff of the Seventh Grade – Bar Mitzvah Program (SGP) at Camp Chayolei this past summer got together for a reunion event.
The event was held in Crown Heights in honor of Yud Shvat, the day the Rebbe accepted the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch.
Around set tables, the event included camp songs, dancing and a video presentation. Pizza and sushi were served to the participants.
A highlight of the program was a special dedication in memory of Rabbi Yudi Dukes OBM, the founder of the Jnet learning organization who recently passed away after a long battle with Covid-19.
His son was a participant of the SGP program in the summer of 5780 and was participating in the reunion live via Zoom.
All campers and staff took upon themselves a “special hachlata” to participate in a weekly Shiur in Inyonei Geulah and Moshiach in his memory.
They said they are doing it “with the hopes that the Yudi Dukes OBM will be able to be reunited with his family speedily now.”
SGP just so amazing
They just don’t stop going keeping in touch and bringing camp throughout the entire year
Keep it up your the best
