Camp F.R.E.E. Gan Israel’s 6th Benefit Dinner was graciously hosted by the Club Cats in Bay Ridge.
Friends gathered for a night of comedy, l’chaims, and a gourmet dinner in support of the Camp’s Scholarship Fund.
“Camp FREE helps children mature socially, emotionally, intellectually, morally, and physically,” said Rabbi Dan Dashevsky, camp administrator.
“Camp is a necessity, not a luxury, but often the costs of sending a child to camp is beyond the reach of the family budget. The Camp F.R.E.E. Scholarship Fund stretches its limits every year to help as many children as it can.”
Attorney Ben Pinczewski, the dinner chairman, shared his positive experience with Chabad and the F.R.E.E. organization encouraging everyone to support the camp.
Hershel Friedman, the dinner MC, related to participants about his journey from Gomel, Belarus to Crown Heights, and about his firsthand experience in camp F.R.E.E.
The guests were treated to a beautiful video presentation directed by Danny Finkelman.
