A burglar suspect has been arrested Tuesday morning after smashing a window of a house and attempting to break into it.
The incident occurred near Eastern Parkway and Brooklyn Ave at around 7:30 AM when the homeowner was awakened by the noise of his home window being smashed. He then noticed the burglar on his property and immediately began to follow him from a distance while calling the police and Shmira.
As Shmira volunteers were arriving, the perpetrator fled into the back courtyard of 770. He was then placed under arrest by police and is being charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
Shmira would like to thank the 71 Precinct officers for a great response.

This guy didn’t just run away to 770. He has been sleeping there for ages. It is obvious from the pictures that this is his regular sleeping quarters and everyone in 770 knows that.
Place is total hefker. They are too busy chasing bochrim who steal ceiling fans to do their job and keep the homeless away.
He probably thought in 770 they wouldnt arrest him. That someone would help him
