A Breslov Yeshiva bochur named Naftali Tzemach arrived a few days ago in the city of Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine with the goal of visiting tombs of Tzaddikim.
The passport he presented at border control was a fake one.
The Tzemach family said in his defense that during his past visit “an evil police officer” blacklisted his real passport “for no reason.”
Wanting to return, the youngster decided to enter this time with a forged passport. When he was caught, he tried to bribe the officials.
A regional judge sent him to prison.
The well-connected Chabad Shliach and Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki is said to be assisting the bochur and his family in Israel.
He has visited him, got him transferred to a single bed cell, and is providing him with kosher food from his restaurant.
A local source told COLlive.com the bochur will be released on Wednesday this week and deported back to Israel.
