On Sunday, August 10, 2014 at approximately 5:40PM two male blacks who appear to be in their teens entered CH Cycles bicycle shop on Empire Blvd in Crown Heights.
Surveillance video from the store shows the two walking around and trying their luck with different bikes.
The two grab two bicycles, which they use to quickly ride away from store.
Below is a video and screen shots of the perpetrators.

When a neighborhood experiences a rash of similar thefts it makes sense to assume that they are somehow interconnected. My guess is that the local school officials would recognize the faces they caught on video and some arrests could be made. Hopefully, one of the perpetrators will be scared enough to lead the police to the others ( that is, if he were locked up incommunicado long enough for the police to get to the rest of the ring.) They were wearing backpacks! That means they go to school! All the police needs to do is take the 2 kids pictures and go visit the public schools!!! Done.

Probably not. Unless all the tens of bikes recently stolen (like from ULY, ENY & Kingston, etc) are all the same group. Are you referring to Troy & Empire?

You see in the vid that they are casing th shop for approx 20 min b4 the run off with the bikes. the store manager needs to be more alert to guys in his store wondering aimlessly. if he would engage them in conversation he may have avoided the theft…
