Eighth-grade boys from Crown Heights Yeshivas filled the Levi Yitzchok Library at 305 Kingston Ave on Monday night, Vov Tishrei to learn about Rebbetzin Chana, the Rebbe’s mother, on her 60th Yartzeit.
Rabbi Levi Garelik and Rabbi Shamshi Junik, both of whose families shared a personal relationship with the Rebbetzin, shared stories and memories of the Rebbetzin Chana.
Rabbi Garelik showed original manuscripts from the Rebbetzin, and Rabbi Junik gave boys the opportunity to say L’chaim from a becher gifted to his family by Rebbetzin Chana.
Yaakov Moshe Friedman of Oholei Torah 8th grade won a raffle for a set of Likkutei Levi Yitzchok.

I must say the Ly library lately
Does so many good things for
My kids.
Thank you to ever gets the thanks.
I see some people that I know I love the picture profile
Personalizing such a heroic, incomprehensibly incredible woman who was a mom to all of us is fantastic thing to do. I recommend as a graduation gift to these boys the book, “The Early Years,” which includes wonderful entries about the Rebbe’s, zt”l, parents & grandparents among so very many things.
“Yaakov Moshe Friedman of Oholei Torah 8th grade won a raffle for a set of Likkutei Levi Yitzchok.”
His great-grandfather, Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Friedman, was Rebbetzin Chana’s neighbor (1414 President St.). He would help her whenever she needed something and called on him he also built a bench for her, and placed it in the garden of 1418 under a tree, for her to use when strolled from her apartment to the corner of Kingston.
