A suspicious bag was found near Educational Institute Oholei Torah, a Chabad boys school in Crown Heights, on Friday afternoon.
An eyewitness said the suspicious item was a suitcase that has been locked near a tree for 2 days, outside the Oholei Torah dormitory building.
Police and bomb squad arrived to investigate, and Eastern Parkway was closed off for the investigation from about 12:00 pm.
Update: At approximately 2:00 pm the package was determined to be harmless, and the street was reopened.
what was in the package was a curriculum – it scared everyone away
