An in-depth and insightful program awaits the myriads of Chabad yeshiva bochurim who are planning on coming in to New York for Gimmel Tammuz, the Rebbe’s yartzeit, this coming week.
A special “Yom Iyun,” a day of learning of the vast Torah of the Rebbe, is being coordinated by the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim organization, at the request of Rosh Yeshivas and Mashpiim.
The program promises to be a great learning experience for the already knowledgeable as well as the beginner. A similar program was arranged by the Vaad in 5767 and was met with much success.
It will extend throughout the afternoon and evening of Beis Tammuz, the eve of Gimmel Tammuz and will be held in Crown Heights.
“It is extremely befitting to enter Gimmel Tammuz through study of the Rebbe’s Torah,” says Rabbi Tzvi Altein, Director of the Vaad. “The Rebbe stresses numerous times, that true Hiskashrus is through learning the Nosi’s Torah.”
The first half of the program will feature workshops, at which leading scholars, Roshei Yeshiva and chozrim of the Rebbe will reach the depth of specific areas of the Rebbe’s contribution to various parts of Torah.
Following the workshops and dinner, a General Session will take place with several chassidic experts on the Rebbe’s Torah. They will be speaking about its revolution and scope.
Details of the full program and line up of speakers to follow.
ther are a lot of yeshivas that are going to be coming to ny monday late afternoon so those yeshivas are going to be missing out, and that’s not right.
There should be as in depth and serious Hachana’s going on in the girls schools as well
Spend ur gimmel Tammuz doing mivtzoim!!!
Yeshivas publish their schedules a year in advance, parents book tickets months in advance! – As it happens the Summer is ridiculously long this year, and any yeshiva that let boys go before gimmel tammuz is sacrificing at least 2 weeks of potential learning.
Tell your son’s yeshiva they should not do that. That is shortchanging the boys!!
What about the boys being dismissed from yeshiva on beis tammuz?
