In Yeshivos around the globe, some 3000 bochurim have spent the last few weeks in intense preparations for Yud-Alef Nissan.
Bochurim the world over have been spending hours each day learning the Rebbe’s Torah and watching videos of Farbrengens. As per the Rebbe’s directives regarding preparation for Yud-Alef Nissan, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim organized a Mivtza Hachana focused on adding in Torah – and specifically, most appropriately, the Rebbe’s Torah.
The month-long Mivtza, a comprehensive, multi-faceted program, was developed with the guidance of Rabbi Yoel Kahan, Mashpia Roshi of Tomchei Tmimim.
The Bochurim watched videos of the Rebbe’s Farbrengens, released by JEM, (Purim 5732, Purim 5747 and 11 Nissan 5742), with a number of Sichos shown each week. Four topics from these farbrengens were picked to be learned in depth, one per week – with additional Sichos and Ma’amorim where the Rebbe delves into the same topics.
A newsletter detailing the importance of watching the Rebbe’s Farbrengens, and including interesting stories and Kisvei Yad, was published each week to accompany the Mivtza.
The Bochurim were awarded for their efforts with hundreds of Seforim sets, video sets of the Farbrengens, and tickets to New York for Yud-Alef Nissan being raffled off.
The Mivtza is sponsored L’iluy Nishmas Yechezkel ben Avrohom Aharon, and with an additional by sponsorship by R’ Yitzchak ben R’ Michoel Sheyichye.
