Thousands of bochurim who arrived to spend the month of Tishrei by the Rebbe are being hosted by the Vaad Hatmimim organization.
Thousands of bochurim have arrived to spend the month of Tishrei by the Rebbe. For many of them, they have been saving up and looking forward to this opportunity all year. Indeed, the chance to be in the ‘Rebbe’s court’ for this special month has been a mainstay of Lubavitch since the earliest days of the Nesius.
There to take care of their every need, both spiritual and physical, is an organization that is dedicated to the needs of the Bochurim 365 days a year – The Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim.
Preparations have been going on for months to ensure all the guests are hosed in the most fitting manner. When the guests number in the thousands, this is no small feat.
The physical needs are taken care of, starting with meals that are provided three times a day in the Oholei Torah lunchroom. Each bochur walks away fully satiated and not needing to worry about what to eat, thus is able to properly dedicate his time and attention to learning and davening.
In addition, accommodations to sleep have been set up, providing the bochurim with where to stay during their trip.
All this then allows for the main purpose of the trip – the ruchniyus – to be foremost on the bochurim’s mind. Shiurim, farbrengens, specially printed learning material are all arranged, giving each and every guest the chance to use every minute of his time by the Rebbe to the utmost.
With all the guests from the world over taking center stage, the Vaad has not overlooked the English speaking bochur who will spend Tishrei by the Rebbe as well. A full lineup of shiurim, farbrengens, and programs in English are being organized to make the entire month, with all it’s highlights and Yomim Tovim, more meaningful and educational. Details will follow.
The organization, directed by Rabbi Tzvi Altein, has arranged for the accommodations, meals, learning and programming as part of the year-round services he and his team at the Vaad Hatmimim provide for the bochurim.
At the closing of 5778, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all your beautiful, POSITIVE comments on COLLIVE. You always find the good in every story and you highlight it, thus helping those among us who are generally more “critical”, to see the good in every story. I don’t know you personally (I do know two of your amazing brothers), but constantly seeing your words of encouragement on COLLIVE, is something that I greatly value. May God bless you to continue to be a source of positivism and encouragement to the entire Chabad community en large.… Read more »
