At 6 pm Friday afternoon an Israeli bocher driving on Lincoln Place near Brooklyn Avenue lost control of his car and slammed into another car.
A dispute erupted between both drivers, and a fight broke out.
Shmira was called, who arrived shortly afterwards to control the gathering crowd.
Hatzalah treated the driver and transferred him to the hospital.
When the Police arrived, they asked a friend of the driver to stay on the scene until the report would be made.
As it got closer to Shabbos and Yom Tov, the friend drove his car with the driver’s belongings back to his home and came back to the accident scene.
The police immediately arrested him because he had left the scene, and had transferred cartons of cigarettes to his car.
Shomrim members accompanied him and remained with him until he was released, at 10:30 pm on Yom Tov.
Shomrim also arranged that driver of car should only get a summons for an unlicensed vehicle.
