New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg opened campaign offices in all five boroughs this weekend.
Joined by former Mayor Ed Koch, New York State Senators Marty Golden and Frank Padavan, and other community leaders and volunteers, Bloomberg opened campaign offices in Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Chanina Sperlin, Executive VP of the Crown Heights JCC, was an invited guest at the Brooklyn opening. The mayor noted that Rabbi Sperlin was the first Jewish Community Leader to support him when he first ran for this post.
“I am proud of what we have achieved together, but we aren’t done yet,” said Bloomberg. “We plan to build on our success – preserving neighborhood character, making the streets even safer, cleaner and greener, continuing to improve education for our kids, and creating jobs and economic opportunities. I believe that with independent, nonpartisan leadership, we can keep all five boroughs moving forward. Between now and November, I look forward to talking with New Yorkers about our plans. And that’s what these campaign offices are all about: getting involved and staying involved. But I can’t do it alone – I need your help.”

I thank you for clearing your position.
PS I got offended because I have both a son and son in law in Kollel, both received funds.
In addition I know of some of my neighbors that received assistance for Yom Tov.
So, Reb Chanina “Chazak V’emotz”.
And to you my friend “Chag kosher V’somaiach”.
Common sense is not very common.
Was Dinkins the only New York Mayor?
And which knacker am I talking about? I am not talking about Rabbi Sperlin or anyone in particular, but for some reason you got very offended.
Clear your mind, its very refreshing.
I Misspelled FRIEND but you get my drift.
VOTE FOR DINKINS.
YOU ARE A “FAR-SHTOP-TE KOP” not a clear mind.
By the way did you or a freind or a family member get his check for yom tov from the knacker ???
If you want more parking tickets, more aggressive cops going after you wallet, more crime because the cops are busy making money for the DMV, much more expensive tolls and bridges which means higher prices for everything that gets trucked into New York City and more expensive public transport. More sales tax. More regulations on small business (of course nor wall street, don’t forget where Mr Bloomberg makes his money) than go ahead and vote for this guy. He will make NY City debt free by transferring the debt to you. He doles out money to mosdos and than sends… Read more »
grow up! all of you….
When one steals, yes “steals”, he can afford to be a pretender.
If it wasn’t for Rabbi Marlow A”H this Yerushalmi-Hungerian, would be in jail.
First Putin extends his time limit, than Bloomberg. Is Sperlin far behind.
And by the way, since Fischer, has anyone givine Crown Heights affordable housing? Any housing?
By chance, ARE YOU BILL THOMPSON??
I am a member in the kollel and benefited from you “askoniyus”.
Please relay a thank you to Reb Sholom Ber, Reb Eli Slavin and Reb Noyach Fox.

You know his plans…to screw us even more: more taxes, less services. I’m voting for Bill Thompson, the only other horse in the race. I’d vote for anyone before Mad Megalomaniac Mike.
