CHYE has extended the application deadline for the Business Plan Competition.
Participants are offered the chance to win $20,000 in services to help turn your dream into a viable, successful startup.
Four classes covering the fundamentals of a business plan ensure each entrepreneur has the skills and background to present a comprehensive, successful plan.
Six finalists will compete in a live pitch event on June 22, 2016, where they will present their plans to investors. Each participant will walk away with cash and facetime with law, finance and marketing experts.
CHYE had “such a wealth of knowledge to offer us, in terms of a business plan, lease, and incorporating as an LLC,” said Zlata Gitlin, owner of Zlata’s Wigs. While CHYE offers business coaching and classes year round, the Business Plan Competition provides additional incentives in cash and prizes. Competition often leads to better results overall.
“The Competition is a great way to test your skills,” say CHYE’s Director, Rabbi Yehoshua Werde.
CHYE has helped over 200 local businesses launch, including StreetLite, an athletic clothing company owned by Golda Reichman, and Prolific, a translation and writing company owned by Rabbi Yehudah Altein.
Competition sponsors include Saul Friedman & Co, AWS Supply, Eilenberg and Krause, and the Cotlar family.
