Imagine being handed $25,000 to spend on creating growth and or improving something in your child’s school.
What would you do with it?
That is the question that we posed last year in our first-ever Chinuch Tank, where Bais Rivkah teachers were invited to share their innovative proposals on how to improve the chinuch in our school. Our teachers submitted over 30 brilliant ideas pertaining to curriculum, technological improvements, social and emotional development, and more.
Of the five finalists who were selected by our independent panel of judges, a live audience at the Embrace Live alumnae event voted for our winner: Mrs. Ella Lerman’s new app that will connect teenagers with vetted mentors on an anonymous platform. This platform will fill a tremendous void for our girls through a medium that is most comfortable for them. This platform has been in the works for the past year and according to developer Moshe Shemtov, we are close to our beta testing stage.
After the incredible response we received last year, we have expanded the tank! We now invite any and all women in our community (local and otherwise) to dive into Bais Rivkah’s second annual Chinuch Tank.
How do I enter?
Submit a detailed proposal describing your vision for how to enhance or add to the chassidishe and educational values. This can include but is not limited to, suggestions pertaining to curriculum, technology, middos, etc, for divisions Pre 1A through seminary. Outline how you would allocate the $25,000 and what impact it will have on our students across the whole school or in a particular division. Include a clear timeline and process of implementation, making sure to include a budget that accounts for payment of goods and services as well as labor.
Who chooses the finalists?
Our panel of independent judges will select the most promising proposals. Finalists will be invited to present their proposal at our virtual Embrace Live event on January 31, 18 Shevat, where the live virtual audience will vote on the winner.
When are submissions due?
