Chabad of Asia continues its year-long Celebration 25 with a Gala Dinner in New York City on Wednesday, 12 Adar 1 / February 16.
The event will be attended by many former residents of Asia and itinerant businessmen who have been warmly welcomed and whose lives have been touched by the Chabad Houses throughout the region.
The event is part of a series of celebrations marking 25 years to Chabad in the Orient, led by Rabbi Mordechai and Goldie Avtzon. Today, over 26 Chabad Houses comprise the fabric of Jewish life in the Far-East.
A gala event at Hong Kong’s exclusive Aberdeen Marina Club earlier this month was attended by hundreds.
The New York event will honor the following people who have supported Chabad of Asia. Living Legacy Memorial Tribute in memory of Mr. Chlomo Kamhazi, ob’m, Builder’s Award to Max and Lubov Azria, Partner’s Award to Isaac and Julie Gniwisch and Leadership Award to Mel and Marcia Waxman.
While invitations have been posted to those whose details are registered on the Chabad of Asia database, the event is open to the public.
To purchase tickets and for more information please visit www.celebration25.com/NYDinner.
May Chlomo’s memories, good deeds and legacy live forever

The best honorees anyone could choose –
Your greatest honor, even more than this event, is actually when you look in the mirror and know how much sunshine and kindness you have brought to so many lives, like your children after you, that noone will ever know about.
This event will just recognize the known kindness, but that’s OK too.
To Mordechai and Goldie and the whole Chabad HK family!
