Is this a green light for all the drinking that goes on in lubavitch over simchas torah??
I lived for a long time next door a great chossid in CH, very well respected in the community , ask his wife how she felt seeing him staggering home every shabbos at 7 pm from shacharis , if this was an inspiration to himself , her , her family and the people around him. I think not!

A green light is better than a red light because if people are anyways going to cross the street they may as well cross correctly.

If you’re drinking benefits you and those around you, then it would seem to be in the spirit of V’samachta b’chagecha. If there’s even a potential for pitfall by you or anyone around you, caution takes precedence.
No green lights, no heterim, just follow the wisdom of Torah and the Rabbeim.

I’m refreshed to hear a licensed clinical psychologist who realizes that our real source for proper behavior is based on the Rebbe’s teachings. Chazak V’Emotz

This again…

Chassidim say lechaim. You have to be a mentch always. If you say lechaim to beyond where you can be mentch you should consider saying less lechaim.

dor tapuchios where mothers and mind-doctors of the world unite to deah zog on avoidos simchas torah.
