A group of self-identified Palestinian computer hackers took control of the website of Lubavitch artist Baruch Nachshon this week.
All the content of www.nachshonartstore.com has been erased and painted black.
Instead of the artist’s famous Jewish paintings, the site featured a photo of Muhammad al-Durrah, the Palestinian boy allegedly killed by the Israeli Defense Forces. Some people believe the shooting was staged to attract sympathy for the Palestinian cause.
Some 300 sites were broken into by the Kosova Hackers Group. Nachshon is investigating who is the internet server provider of the group, and what can legally be done about the group’s crimes.
“We hope such things don’t repeat themselves, and that we can track this group, whose goal is to wreck every good web site, especially those connected to Jews and Judaism.” said the artist’s son Yossi Nachshon, a Chabad Shliach in Chevron.
