By Tamar Adelstein, Director of the Shleimus HaAretz Show
“The Jewish nurses in Hadassa Eim Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem treated my daughter, Adele. with great dedication, but the Arab nurses? They practically made an intifada!
“They treated her rudely, without gentleness, or consideration. They caused her so much pain. I asked the hospital to please keep the Arab nurses away from her. I couldn’t bear to see it going on.”
Adele Banita, her husband Aharon and their two young children were stabbed multiple times by Arab terrorists as walked toward the Kotel on the night of Hoshana Rabba.
Aharon died of his wounds along with Rabbi Nechemia Lavie who attempted to rescue them. Arab bystanders in the area not only refused to come to their aid but mocked and kicked Adele as she ran for help.
Her two-year son, Natan was also wounded in the attack.
“And, when we were told about the bad news about Aharon, we could see the Arab workers smiling.” (as reported in Ami-Living Magazine, Debra Heller, 10/14/15)
The Shleimus HaAretz Show calls on Jewish women everywhere to unite and flood Hadassa Eim Kerem’s Board of Directors with phone calls and letters demanding the immediate firing of these Arab nurses and workers.
We also insist on an immediate review of Hadassa’s hiring policies and delegation of staff when terror victims are brought in needing treatment and/or hospitalization. We insist the needed changes be made effective no later than November 1, 2015.
We insist only Jewish medical and support staff be allowed to treat and be in the vicinity of Jewish terror victims, r”l, beginning immediately.

It’s ridiculous that you are trying to establish remotely if the mistreatment actually took place. It is the hospital that has to investigate a complaint not people sitting in NY based on their preconceived notions.
You cannot fire people unless you have clear cut reasons or examples of misconduct on the place of the staff.
it seems like untill the worst happens they can,t prevent that
let them not only fire these arabs but kick them out of our land
2yrs ago an ARAB NURSE was fired for being found to b part of a terror ATTACK! He was a lovely nurse for many yrs… sn ARAB is an arab… doctor or nurse. I have seen arab medical care MIStreat jewish patidnts. Totally -let them treat THEIR OWN pple in their own med institutions and let jews treat their own. Despicable! Fire them all. Comments above- u are in for a HUGE AWAKENING when they stab you in ur back both literally and figuratively. These are a hating blood thirsty nation… yes ALL OF THEM- the nice liberals and the… Read more »
I was in Hadassah a couple weeks ago visiting a friend and saw from inside his room as an Israeli nurse walked past an arab woman who worked on that floor, she sneezed. The arab women smiled warmly and said bless you in Hebrew but after she passed the smile turned into a disgusted sneer and with a nasty face said something which didn’t sound too pleasant, in arabic to another arab girl standing near by and they laughed til they noticed me staring and not breaking eye contact…nice people
I worked In a top hotel in jerusalem. There worked Jews muslems and a few Christians .In the time I was there even though each had a different religion we all respected one another .There are a lot of Israeli Arabs who are very ashamed at the stabbings carried out by their fellow muslems .
My friend told me that when she was hospitalized in Hadassah Ein Kerem a number of years ago, she had an Arab doctor who wanted to dismiss her and send her home. She would have died, lucky for her a Jewish doctor was there and told him, you can’t discharge her.
I would much rather be treated by a Jew than the best intentioned arab. Especially in a case like this poor woman whose husband was murdered and she and her child wounded by these animals. I would not want their hands touching me or my child.
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. I think we should LOVE the arabs especially since they walk around stabbing innocent people left right and center. And, I think it’s time we say to he–l with being democratic and stop training arabs and supporting them in our hospitals etc. Let them stay in their own hospitals and train in their own universities. and stay out of our lives!
I am pleased to see there is thoughtful discussion going on about this event. It raises a larger issue about the very real security problems Jews face every day with the Arabs among them. Why should political correctness be allowed to supersede safety, especially at this time of insecurity, not to mention the one too many tragic incidents of Arabs attacking their employers and sabotaging their work. It should go without saying, that Rabbanit Gal’s concerns must be taken seriously; it is reasonable to insist that employees who mistreated a patient because of their political beliefs cannot be allowed to… Read more »
As a retired nurse, I distinctly remember taking an oath . An oath to all patients, and an oath to above all never do harm. There is NO excuse for this. And let Abbass or any of his family members …go to Quatar for medical care. ENOUGH!
LOOK PEOPLE CAN SAY WHAT THEY WANT … BUT!!! … THEIR IS TO MUCH ARAB HATE IN JERUSALEM AND I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THEIR IS DISCRIMINATION CONCERNING EACH PATIENT !!! … ISLAM IS A DEATH CULT THAT IS DESTROYING THE WORLD AND MUST BE ERADICATED AND THEIR CAN NOT BE ANY KIND OF CHANCES IN THESE HOSPITALS !!! ISLAM DESTRYS EVERYTHING IT TOUCH’S … PERIOD !!!
I spent 3 months in hospital 4 years ago…in Assuta (private) the nursing by Arab and Israeli nursing was great – better than I recall from Canada…., but in 2 months in Tel Hashomer, it was sub-par bordering on negligence and abuse….it goes for all, Arab and Jewish
I agree with #18’s comment: Jewish victims of terrorist attacks committed in Israel by Muslim Arabs should be treated with compassion and consideration for the circumstances, which includes (in my opinion) not to be left under the supervision or medical care of nurses or doctors who are practicing Muslims whose religion and scripture (the Koran) command them to kill Jews, not heal them. The victim’s mental and emotional state after surviving terrorist attacks perpetrated by Muslims (or any ethnicity, but in this case we are obviously talking about Muslim Arabs) demands emotional security so he or she may heal without… Read more »
By boycotting and demanding the firing of all Arab nurses, you are stooping to the low level of all the people who are trying to boycott Israel. The head surgeon at Hadassah is an Arab and is very respected there by his Jewish colleagues and patients.
Do us a favor and stop being a קנאי.
I agree with comment number 1. If you want to be helpful, say tehilim, learn Torah, do mitzvos.
This is pathetic.
kick them all out
I was once a hospital patient in the Inited Staes in critical condition after surgery to my kidneys. I had some Exceptional nurses and I also had o e nurse from Hell who could have cost me my life. Firstly, particular nurses who are guilty of misconduct should be reported by the patient and family and the allegations should be fully investigated by the hospital. Secondly, a Jewish victim of terror of a widespread intifada in Israel should not be left under the supervision of a nurse who is not Jewish. The victim’s mental and emotional state after surviving such… Read more »
Unfortunately, I have spent time as a patient in four different Israeli hospitals over theyears and I have never had any problems with Arab doctors and nurses. If you had a bad experience with a particular nurse, complain about HER. There are many important ways to help Israel today. Making trouble for Arab hosptial staff is not one of them.
Having lived in Israel for over 30 years, I can say that I have only ever received the absolute best treatment from Arab doctors and Arabs working in other fields but…..obviously things must have changed recently! We must believe people, even if it seems strange. What would you say if someone said they don’t believe the recent stabbing sprees because never before has such wide scale terror on the streets taken place? Unfortunately there is a first time for everything.
to #1…first of all, to address a statement or even a point of view as “ridiculous” is offensive, even if your own experience has been otherwise. Perhaps you disagree with the suggested response, but I am surprised to see such a statement from someone who is intelligent and educated. Further, a question : what would Mrs. Banita have to gain from presenting this information? surely she does not need any more publicity…….Perhaps, just perhaps, there is truth in what she is saying even if you never encountered this in your work. Tehillim are needed for the whole situation, and even more… Read more »
the arabs are just testing Israel’s patience. The arabs are stabbing again and again, and they are waiting for Israel to fight back, so the whole world can come and side with the arabs. Israel needs to do things without worrying about what people are going to say.
A Jewish victim of Islamic Terrorism should not be treated by a Muslim. That is common sense. Part of healing is mental and spiritual. How much mental calm or spiritual peace can on have when a Muslim tried to murder you and now your life depends on a Muslim for go u to get better. If I was a victim of Muslim terrorism and my nurse or doctor was a Muslim… I would drag myself out of bed and crawl out of that hospital if I had tto.
there was a difference between Nazi germany and israel these days. in nazi germany, they did it out of hate for the jews, and discrimination. in israel, however, if arabs are treating jews horribly than by all means fire them. there is a huge difference
How about THIS NON JEWISH country? How would YOU like being fired IMMEDIATELY simply because some goy felt ‘uncomfortable’ with you? And do you approve of Nazi Germany’s laws which totally excluded ALL Jews from certain proffesions? This was a GERMAN country after all, they had the right to feel ‘ comfortable’, no? How many times you cry antisemitism over any real or imagined slight to the Jewish people? Yet ‘in the Jewish country’ you seem to support policies that would rightly be deemed outreageous if they were directed against Jews in any non Jewish country. See the double standard?… Read more »
To # 1 I hear you loud and clear and it may be such but could there be one particular nurse who decides to snap and behave otherwise yes it’s not hard to believe especially with the mentality of certain type of people I could believe that it did happen to this particular girl.
I think that in a JEWISH country where JEWS should feel safe and comfortable there should be a zero tolerance policy with Arabs mistreating JEWS. The Arabs are like parasites, they take and benefit from the land of Israel but literally stab us in the back on there way home from work!!
Enough of this politically correct nonsense!!
If a patient is uncomfortable with an Arab nurse then fire her immediately!!
I live in CH and it’s my sister that wrote comment #1 and the mental magic that went into formulating your incredible comment can only mean that you are a magician.
Where is Bibi’s Kipa?!? He’s forgetting who’s in charge! It’s sure not him! If he’ll just at least wear a Kipa, it’ll remind him who’s in charge and give him the strength to do what’s right, no matter what!!
I think you are an Arab worker their just trying to save your sorry ___….
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
my most kind nurse was an Arab.

What is happening in Israel is truly disturbing , and what happened to Odelle and her family is just barbaric! I know for a fact that she and her son are suffering tremendously both physically and psychologically . They are both traumatized . Being that she is a close friend of my sister in-law, I started a gofundme campaign , to try ease her burden. Here is the link, https://www.gofundme.com/odellebennet.
Please help if your are able. And please share the link . We have had amazing donations so far, let it continue!
Thank you in advance

This is ridiculous. As a RN at Hadassah Ein Kerem, I work alongside Arabs and Jews, and our patients are all given exemplary care, no matter their background, and often under very difficult conditions. I have never seen an Arab employee mistreat a Jewish patient, nor have my patients ever complained of such a thing (and trust me, they’d complain if it was an issue!). As a religious nurse, I have never felt degraded, fearful or slighted by an Arab coworker. Arab doctors, surgeons and nurses work just as keenly to save the lives of Jewish patients, and vice versa.… Read more »
