Young students from the kindergarten division of Oholei Torah were treated to a hands-on tour of a Mitzvah Tank, where they were told about its activities and the Mitzvos and joy it brings to Jews.
Following a short dance on Eastern Parkway, the youngsters heard a story from Rabbi Boruch Jacobson, the Shliach in Hunter College in New York City.
During that time, students of grades 3-6 joined together in the Gutnick Ballroom for a grand farberagen marking the day the Rebbe accepted the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch.
A recording from a sicha from the Rebbe was played and niggunim were sung in what was an inspirational event. It was organized by Rabbi Yehoshua Lustig and Rabbi Zalman Goldstein, Principals in Oholei Torah.
