Aliya couldn’t have wished for a more glorious morning to celebrate its 10 year anniversary in Prospect Park.
Despite being the morning after Selichos, a crowd still showed up to walk, run and celebrate with the organization for young adults who are not in the Yeshiva setting.
Following the laps around the park everyone sat in the Perestyle to enjoy a delicious healthy brunch prepared by Buncho Bagels and watch the winners receive their trophies. The winner of the race was Aron Herman of Crown Heights.
Crown Heights community Doctor Eli Rosen received an award, presented to him by Crown Heights Community Council Director Zaki Tamir, who is also an Aliya alum.
Rabbi Meir New, who was recently appointed along with his wife Chaviva to direct the new girls program of Aliya spoke about their new mission.
The crowd was then entertained by the great music of Benshimon and Yoni Zigelboum.
The beautiful event concluded with a dvar torah by Beis Din Rabbi Yosef Braun, who also blew the Shofar.
