Aish Hatorah's Beis Hamikdash

A model of the Beis Hamikdash, commissioned by Aish Hatorah, is being built in the Kfar Chabad village in Israel. Artist Michael Osnis is directing the project housed in the glass company of the Lubavitch Chassin brothers. That is a magnificent model, the detail is superb! What materials is it made of? It looks like authentic marble, and are the gold accents plated with real gold? It must be costing them a fortune, but however much it is, it’s worth it, for such a beautiful representation of the beis hamikdosh to be made! May we be zoche to see the… Read more »

like why lubavitch is building for Aish is completely hepech of anything the Rebbe stood for. the rebbe encouraged ahavas yisroel and we should be the first to display it. what they may do with it or say about it is there business but we should should follow the Rebbe’s example not that of Eisov. v’dal…

(and by the way, #12 – i heard that also, that in a camp, they had the kids work really hard on it, and then destroyed it. The result must have been devastating)

JCM

Several projects undertaken by the JCM in the past few years have been executed to perfection. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to consider a mini Bais Hamikdosh with actors playing the parts of Kohanim, etc. They can even keep a lamb around to make it more interactive for the children. Use the model from this article as inspiration – this is a beautiful testament to a legendary history. To all the Aish-bashers: I truly hope you are able to accomplish more in your entire life than this organization accomplishes in a day. Sadly you most probably wont, at least not… Read more »

MOSHIACH IS COMING!
July 23, 2009 6:57 am

We should Unite as one becasuse we are all one despite the differences! We should all have Ahavas Yisroel and accept everyone and their beliefs and surely Moshiach will arrive Right now!!

When Moshiach comes we will have to tolerate every Jew so we might as well stop trying to find fault with other groups of Yidden. Perhaps this will help bring Moshiach.

If they can be big enough then we should be big enough. We are after all ONE MISHPACHA. MOSHIACH NOW!!!!

Who else would be building the Bais Hamikdosh if not a Lubavitcher?

aish....
July 23, 2009 12:52 am

i heard of a misnagdishe school who in the 9 days built a beautifull model of the beis hamikdosh and then destroyed it to get the feeling……

July 22, 2009 4:55 pm

Kol Hakovod for that beautiful work – the attention to all the details is superb!

joke, well know, even they agree:
July 22, 2009 3:45 pm

when moshiach comes is he going to be a chassid or a misnaged? Obviously, a misnaged! for, if he were to be a chassid, the misnagdim wouldnt believe him!

Who cares whio it's for
July 22, 2009 3:10 pm

We should be happy that people are talking about the Beis Hamikdosh rather than other problems. In fact the Rebbe did not mind that his Sichos be said without mentioning his his name as long as the Inyan was accomplished. So who are we to be smarter than the Rebbe.
