Eric Adam’s reneged on his campaign promise that he would not support Covid vaccine mandates for adult employment or children ! He believes he has the authority to mandate to NYC constituents. There is also a Bill on the state level .. ‘Authorizes the commissioner of health to develop and supervise the execution of a program of immunization against COVID-19 for purposes of state aid to schools; requires immunization against COVID-19 for attendance at school.” NY is one of 6 states where children do not have vaccine opt-outs to attend daycare /school other than medical exemptions which are impossible to… Read more »
First of all, what’s the big deal? Just give the vaccines to your kids!

To tell parents what you want them to do with their own kids- and have them simply ignore you.
They are the ones complaining about mandates. This isn’t a big deal for those of us who are already vaccinated.
Absolute benefit to the child recipient is tiny, and risk of vaccine-induced myocarditis is not yet well understood.Mandating something in children w a small & unknown risk benefit ratio is a mistake.

You would have been right a few years ago but Curtis Sliwa had slandered the community in a very public way and cannot be trusted. (If you’re not familiar, you can search for ‘Curtis Sliwa Orthodox Jews’ on the internet.)

it was in response to orthodox community not being there for him during an election i think years ago. he reacted. he apologized. he’s human. in the end, we only trust in Gd.
Surely, people should be encouraged to vote based on their conscience, in factoring in who would be the best person to lead.
Surely you wouldn’t want people to vote for the worse candidate because of a personal debt of gratitude?

you reveal an anti-semite. Sliwa showed his colors to an upstate town meeting and slandering unzer. It doesn’t make a difference if he apologized. He’s a big boy and should have known to never have said what he said in the first place just to place himself on the good side of well known anti-semites. He is not and will not be my choice even if all of unzer meine-hachamim endorsed him – which, from what I can see they are NOT endorsing him.
