Dudi Farkash, a Chabad community activist and businessman, has agreed to serve as Soul II Soul 5773 Journal Chairman, ahead of their annual concert in Crown Heights.
The announcement was made by Shmuly and Tzirl Goldman, executive producers of the concert and directors of the Chasdei Soul II Soul organization which funds the education of children with special needs.
“This project is very close to my heart,” says Farkash who has a long history of being committed to helping the special needs community.
“I am very sensitive to, and understand, the challenges parents face in raising a child with special needs. With Hashem’s help I am hoping to make this year’s concert journal the largest and most successful yet.”
The Soul II Soul 5773 concert will feature Jewish music superstar Mordechai Ben David and the popular 8th Day Band on Sunday February 10, 2013 (30 Shevat 5773) at the Brooklyn School of Music, 883 Classon Avenue, in Brooklyn.
Chasdei Soul II Soul is committed to provide tuition assistance to children attending very expensive Jewish special needs schools.
“We once again welcome Dudi to the team at the Soul II Soul concert,” said Tzirl Goldman. “It is really hard work putting together the show and raising funds, having a team support us is more than just helpful, it is uplifting. We are thankful for Dudi’s support.”
