From the COLlive Inbox:
As Gimmel Tammuz is approaching, we are all taking time to focus on how to become closer and more connected to the Rebbe even after 25 years. some take time to learn yet another Maamar or Sicha of the Rebbe, and others sit down to contemplate how the Rebbe is with us more than ever before… – ”לא עזב ולא יעזוב הרועה את צאן מרעיתו”. After all, we don’t see it clearly.
This is obviously so vital and important for our day to day life in this bitter Galus to know and feel that the Rebbe is actually with us wherever we may be.
However, there is something the Rebbe worked tirelessly to instill in us, which must not be “overlooked” c”v no matter the circumstance, something with which the Rebbe lived and breathed with every fiber of his being.
For 44 years, the Rebbe instilled in us an urgency. An urgency to bring Moshiach. An urgency that there is no time to waste. An urgency that “Shechintah Begalusa.” An urgency that we can’t feel comfortable in Galus. An urgency to reach every Yid.
It is with this urgency that the Rebbe told us on that fateful night some 28 years ago “טוט אלץ וואס איר קענט און זען אראפבריינגן משיח דא למטה”.
It is with this urgency that the Rebbe told us:
“ר אויבערשטער קאן שוין ניט פארטראגן דעם ליל הגלות און קלאפט ביי יעדער אידן אויפן טיר און בעט זעך מערניט אז “פתחי לי” .. מ’דארף ניט ווארפן ווענט און האקן טירן ס’איז גענוג ”פתחי לי כחודו של מחט”. און דעמאלט זאגט דער אויבערשטער ”כי קרובה ישועתי לבוא ”..

It is with this urgency that the Rebbe conducted his day to day life, and expects us to follow suit.
Now, almost 25 years later we must ask ourselves “where is that sense of urgency?’’
The urgency that things are not the way they should be, the urgency that this is a crazy time and something crazy must be done, the urgency to bring the Rebbe back, the urgency to work and work and not sleep, the urgency that we have an Achrayus to the Rebbe to bring Moshiach and that no else will do it for us.
Is this day just another time to be inspired by the Rebbe’s love to us or how ”Hu Bachayim”, and at best to shed a tear about the Rebbe. Or, is it a time to realize that its already 25 years and we still didn’t bring Moshiach! …
And perhaps this is a time when we are also allowed to feel a little uncomfortable when we realize that until we get our act together, the Rebbe is stuck with us in Galus hoping that we will realize the responsibility we owe him and stop sleeping.
(see 19 Kislev 5716 https://ashreinu.page.link/LB64)
And perhaps, at least for these next few days until Gimmel Tammuz we can get ourselves to live with such a mindset. To actually be the Rebbe’s Chassidim not only in heart, but also in our day to day life.
And perhaps if we will realize the responsibility that lays upon our shoulders and make this our personal business, we will stop getting so caught up with our own petty issues (physical or spiritual), because we will realize that there is a much bigger picture to worry about besides our own personal needs and desires.
And surely, if we commit our lives to this responsibility and open a “פתח כחודו של מחט”, then we are promised that ”קרובה ישועתי לבוא”, and even before Gimmel Tammuz we will be able to tell the Rebbe openly ”עשינו שליחותך…” this will be the day we will hear the Rebbe say “ראו גידולים שגדלתי”!
In order to bring this down in to Masse Bepoel, we all know the Sicha where the Rebbe says: (Purim 5747. Watch here https://www.chabad.org/1192676)
“יעדער איד זאל וויסן אז דורך זיין איין און איינציקער מעשה ..דיבור און ..מחשבה.. איז דא דער פסק דין אז “מביא ישועה והצלה לעולם”..איז א דבר ברור אז די איין און איינציקע זאך וואס מ’דארף משלים זיין אז יעדער איד זאל וויסן אז דאס איז זיין ענין הפרטי”
“Every Jew must know, that by his single deed, and by his single word, or by his single thought…his every action can truly bring redemption to the entire world!”
Click here for a google form in which you can write a Hachlatah to take on in Masse, Dibbur or Machshavah (either until Gimmel Tammuz or in general) and it will all be given to the Rebbe before Gimmel Tammuz, to present to him something we are taking upon ourselves, to show that we are not comfortable in this present situation.
(Obviously, everything will remain anonymous).

P.S. perhaps the above point can be transmitted especially through ‘’listening’’ to the Rebbe’s sichos on tape when you hear the passion in the Rebbe’s voice, it gives over what the Rebbe wants to tell us in a lot more authentic, alive way.
