A massive fundraising campaign was launched on Thursday for Eshel – Hachnosas Orchim, the premier and longest-serving welcoming and hospitality organization in Crown Heights.
Founded in 1972 by Rabbi Moshe Yeruslavsky OBM, Eshel’s goal is to ensure that every guest who comes to the Rebbe for the month of Tishrei can have the peace of mind to enjoy a spiritual Yom Tov free of material worry.
In keeping with that promise, Eshel has been serving the thousands of guests with all their needs, from supplying meals and fixing up basements for lodging, to medical emergency care and compelling learning programs.
While most of the guests are bochurim from Israel and around the world, there are some 1000 girls, a sizable group of newlyweds and even young children who come to spend the holidays at 770 Eastern Parkway and the welcoming Crown Heights community.
Additionally, Eshel has launched a new English-speaking division which is attracting many bochurim with learning schedules, farbrengens and large programs.
The enormous costs of this large operation is often donated by a handful of generous individual, yet an additional amount of guests have come to New York this year to celebrate the Hakhel year of Jewish unity and additional funds are needed to cover the million dollar budget.

Leading the matching funds campaign are philanthropists Sholom Ber Drizin, Shlomo Kalish and Yitzchak Mirilashvili through his Keren Meromim foundation, and their friends, who pleadged to match every dollar donated in the next 24 hours.
Every dollar that contributed from now until Friday at 11:00 AM will be quadrupled to effectively become $4, making the sum needed $192,000. As with all such campaigns, if the goal isn’t reached, Eshel won’t receive a penny, and the entire project will have been a failure.

Now its our turn to be there for them and help them expand their efforts. They do so much and the Rebbe said the more you give the more Brachos you get, so please dont hesitate to donate now when your donation makes a bigger difference by being quadrupled! Moshiach now!
