The 71st Precinct in partnership with the precinct’s community council will hold the 20th Annual Family Day picnic this Sunday, June 8.
The picnic will begin, rain or shine, with the traditional Family Day Parade at 11:30 am. The parade route will start at Empire Blvd and New York Ave, travel eastbound on Empire, turn southbound on Albany and west on East New York Ave, to arrive at Lefferts Park, where the picnic will begin.
Join the precinct and community council for a day of fun, entertainment, free children’s rides and free kosher and non-kosher food and beverages.

mendy biston is #1 guy always running to do for people kindess person around !!!
it was very nice but it was not a family day as all the boys had school. The rides were very nice but the problem is that at 4 o clock the rides finished. If it is geared for families then the rides should be till 5 or even 6 so that the boys that have school can join afterwards without feeling deprived
The “parade” lasted a total of 5 minutes, and there were more police cars and vans than paraders. For this, Empire Blvd was shut down for 6 full hours. Even though the parade went on albany, the policeman (who should have been out stopping crime) posted at Troy would’nt allow my wife to drive onto Empire, even though we live on the block and she would not have gone all the way to Albany. Life in NYC is difficult enough without these forced interruptions. They can have their parade and picnic without inconveniencing everybody else’s lives unnecessarily.
Go Shmarya, CH most smart and caring politician…
Go Mendy B
Your the “BEST”
What time will it be over
