In honor of the 15th of Iyar – the day the Rebbe distributed the famous “Dvar Malchus” pamphlet in 5751, the Talmidei Hashluchim of Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati, under the directorship of Rabbi Gershon Avtzon held a beautiful and inspirational event to celebrate the completion of Mivtza Dvar Malchus.
The Mivtza, which lasted 6 months, was comprised of learning the weekly Sicha of 5752, writing summaries on them, and passing a multiple choice test. More than half of the Yeshiva participated and completed the Mivtza successfully!
“Some Mivtzahs,” explained Rabbi Avtzon during the event, “put the focus on the ‘speedometer’ – with 2 weeks of intense learning, Koch and spirit – while the long lasting effect is less emphasized. This Mivtzah, however, placed the focus on the road ahead – with the vision of learning these fundamental Sichos and inquiring a knowledge to keep us focused on the road until we reach the goal – the Hisgalus of the Rebbe.”
During his speech, Rabbi Avtzon compared the distribution of the “Dvar Malchus” booklet by the Rebbe on the 15th of Iyar 5751, to the “Man” (מן) that Hashem gave Bnei Yisroel in the Midbar, beginning on the 15th of Iyar as well; the Dvar Malchus is our food with which we can pull through the current Midbar – this dark Galus.
In connection with the 15th of Iyar – one of the days the Rebbe encouraged Yechi in 5751, a special video presentation was played, along with a beautifully produced guide, documenting the history of the Nigun and proclamation of Yechi in front of the Rebbe.
Continuing on that note, guest speaker Rabbi Eliezer Turen related some personal memories of his years in 770, giving the bochurim a clear picture of the events and feelings of those days. Rabbi Turen also expounded on the main task of a Tomim in Tomechei Temimim – Limud Hatorah, and the most precious part of Torah for Chassidim – the “Letzte Sichos” we heard from the Rebbe to date.
The Menahel – Rabbi Menachem Benarousse and the Talmidei HaShluchim presented the Bochurim who completed the Mivtza with personal certificates, complementing them on their great success.
The bochurim left the event with a strong sense of inspiration, recognizing that the event was not just a celebration of the past, rather “the end is just a new beginning” – an evening of inspiration to continue further until the Hisgalus.
The event was followed by a special Farbrengen with Rabbi Turen lasting until the wee hours of the morning.
He is a true Dugma Chaya of everything a Shliach of the Rebbe is supposed to be.
(to add on to what # 7 wrote) for some reason every time something is mentioned about Yechi, or the like, the comment that follows is: the Rebbe wrote a note this man; the Rebbe told this Maskir; the Rebbe meant this or that. while what i can see on video is not just chassidim singing with great excitement rather THE REBBE HIMSELF STRONGLY ENCORGING. the printed black and white sichos, which these bocherim b”h learnt (although their are many up there in the high offices trying to hide this content from our children…) say all the Moshiach stuff clear.… Read more »

Thank you Rabbi Avtzon and stuff for helping
our children to accomplish a lot.
see you soon my צדיק.
You obviously don’t know anything. Tes vov iyar was not the only time that the chassidim sand Yechi in front of the Rebbe in the years 5751-2, it is one of three times (that they sang the full Yechi with melech hamoshiach leolom voed). The first was a week and a half earlier on Shabbos vov iyar. Tes vov iyar was the second (and you can watch the video, the Rebbe clearly encourages the singing). The third time was Shabbos parshas noach 5752 and it was only that time that the Rebbe said something to one of the mazkirim –… Read more »
Simply not true!
Vav iyar by farbrengen! and on motzei shabbas of or lizayin iyar. We can argue about the future, please do not rewrite the past!
tes vos iyar was theONLY time yeti was sung in front of the rebbe during the years 5751-5752. also following that singing the rebbe made some very sharp comments to one of the mazkirim, which was why it wasn’t sung before the rebbe for the next year
