Over 5,000 soldiers in 42 bases around the globe watched an inspiring Shavuos rally prepared by Tzivos Hashem Headquarters.
Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, director of Chayolei Tzivos Hashem, leads the production, getting right into the Yom Tov spirit. He starts off by showcasing the Lag B’omer parades of chayolim around the world.
Then there’s the promotion film, featuring pictures of students in Chabad schools around the world. “The rally is the time when we honor the chayolim who have advanced in rank,” explains Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, executive director of Tzivos Hashem. “We are proud of the hundreds of chayolim who’ve been promoted over the past two months; they truly deserve these moments of fame.”
In honor of Shavuos, second lieutenant Mushky showcased her unique Aseres Hadibros invitation project. “If not for us kids, no one would have gotten the Torah … that makes it our Yom Tov,” she points out enthusiastically, reminding viewers to listen to the Aseres Hadibros with the proper respect. Indeed, the rally emphasizes the Rebbe’s encouragement that every single child to to shul on Shavuos—even little babies.
The rally continues by featuring 12 lucky Tzivos Hashem bases and their chosen chayolim reciting pesukim, followed by a clip of the Rebbe encouraging the children to sing the Tzivos Hashem anthem: “We want Moshiach NOW!”
An energetic niggun is played, and chayolim are encouraged to sing along.
The highlight of the rally is when chayolim receive orders from their general, the Rebbe. The words of the sicha are animated in an engaging and eye-catching manner with direction by Saralaya Rockford. The Tzivos Hashem rally echoes the Rebbe’s urging for every Jewish child to buy a letter in the Sefer Torah.
The rally culminates with a much-anticipated announcement—the winners of the grand end of the year auction! Close to 1,000 chayolim win seforim, games, toys, CDs, and other amazing options. All the viewers hold their breath as the first-place winner is announced: Levi Cohen who attends Cheder Menachem in California won two tickets to Eretz Yisroel.
The rally was filmed and edited by Getzy and Moshe Raskin, with a voice over by Choni Milecki. Tzivos Hashem also offers a special thanks to the volunteers of Bnos Menachem, who helped pack thousands of medals at headquarters.
Tzivos Hashem could not achieve the Rebbe’s vision without such a dedicated and talented team—our staff, the Base Commanders in Lubavitch schools around the world, and most of all, the chayolim on the front lines who are bringing Moshiach.
